Mary the rhino.
Our driver said she
was heading to the
forest for shade
against the hot sun
during the day.

Black rhinos are becoming
extinct with only 400 left
in the world today. Her
keen sense of smell and
hearing is checking us out.

There were ten
jeeps following her
as she walked
through the savannah.

The hippo pool in the
Mara River. There were
a lot of hippos in this river!

The baby hippos were
placed near these logs
by their mothers
for protection.

Their jaws can open
150-degrees! Why do
hippos "yawn?" Better
check "Animal Facts!"

The Mara River.
This is my best scenery
picture. Awesome!

A hippo out of the water.
It needs to head to the
hippo pool soon. Why can't
it stay out in the sun all
day? Check out "Animal
Facts" for the answer.

The Masai Mara
savannah. This was
taken about 7:30 in
the morning.

A grey crowned crane.
A herd of impalas are
behind it. This crane is
one of the most elegant
birds in all of Africa.

Gazelle.
This is the best picture
that I took of one. The
dark stripes through
its eyes remind me
of warrior paint.

A dying African buffalo.
It will take him years to
actually die because of
his size and bellicosity.
