The Tate Modern opened in the spring of 2000, and it's located across the Thames River from St. Paul's
Cathedral. The building is a converted industrial power station, and it houses a modern art collection
 from the last 100 years.
The museum is controversially displayed by genre - nudes, landscapes, still lifes, and history - rather
than by artist and chronological. A taste of what we saw: Monet, Matisse, Cezzane, Picasso, Dali (my
favorite), Mondrian, Bacon, Pollock (we just saw the movie!), Warhol, and Beuys.
