SAVE THE DATE!!
June 30 - July 1 - July 2
Bartlett High School
CLASS OF 1986 REUNION
Anchorage, AK
Friday, June 30, 2006 -- Icebreaker Mixer
Rumrunner's Old Towne Bar Annex at the Historic Anchorage Hotel
7:00pm - 12:00am
-- Significant others welcomed, but not required, no children. Tonight is all about getting
reacquainted, so significant others might be bored with stories that were special to us but had
little or no meaning to them.
-- Downtown Anchorage: E Street and 3rd Avenue.
-- Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
-- Look at the BHS Class of 1986 web site for directions, as it's a bit tricky.
-- Bring your yearbook! I'm going to have everyone sign mine -- a tradition I'll do every 20 years!
-- This place is beautiful, classy, non-smoking, and we'll have it completely to ourselves.
-- Check out the BHS Class of 1986 web site for pictures!
Saturday, July 1, 2006 -- Banquet Dinner/Dance
Alaska Native Heritage Center
7:00pm - 1:00am
-- Semi-formal. Significant others welcomed, no children.
-- This museum mixes a great banquet facility with a "touch" of Alaskan culture. You're going to love it!
-- We've rented the whole place, so you're free to explore
the museum, outdoor deck, lake, and five traditional village sites.
-- There will be an After Dinner Program that's going to rock! Trill Webster (Gates) is currently
working on this -- more to come later.
-- There will be a DJ who will dance us into a frenzy!
-- I'm looking into a photographer to take formal pictures. Of course, tonight's the night
for the group class photo.
-- There will be a PowerPoint slide show, memorabilia displays, souvenirs, a possible video running, etc.
-- Located near Bartlett. See the web site for directions.
-- Check out the BHS Class of 1986 web site for pictures!
Sunday, July 2, 2006 -- Picnic
Kincaid Park Outdoor Center
3:00pm - 8:00am
-- Bring the family!
-- This place is FANTASTIC -- spectacular views, wildlife, being in the Alaskan outdoors.
-- I've rented almost the whole place; includes the outdoor picnic shelter and inside the chalet in
case it rains.
-- I purchased the sports package -- softball field, bases, bats and balls (no gloves), horseshoes
and pit area, volleyball court and ball, soccer balls, and frisbees. Lots of adult activities will
be planned. Bring your baseball gloves!
-- Also in the works is lots of kids activities. It should be tons of fun for everyone!
-- Located on the very western edge of Anchorage. See the web site for directions.
-- Check out the BHS Class of 1986 web site for a few pictures taken inside the chalet!
EXTRA EVENTS
Can't get enough? All of the following activities aren't "officially" part of the reunion,
but could be a lot of fun to do together!

Tour of Bartlett High School
I'm currently working with Pete Tryon to get us a tour in the morning.
Pete wrote: "I think that everyone would find it interesting. There has been major remodeling
during the last couple of years. There are still colored halls, but they aren't in the same order.
Main Place is there, but significantly different!"
Group Activity - Pay as You Go
I'm currently looking into several options, including going down to Seward as a group to take a
glacier cruise.

I need to look into what Anchorage has going on for that day. If someone has the time, could
you look into it for me? Contact me.
I'm also looking into doing some other group activities together in the downtown area.

WHO IS INVITED
-- Anyone is invited! If you've had an affiliation with Bartlett and would really like to
see others from the Class of 1986, the more the merrier.
-- My philosophy: you pay, you play. We have tons of room on Saturday and Sunday.
-- Depending on what my RSVP #'s are getting to, I may limit Friday night's Icebreaker to BHS Class
of 1986 alumni only. The space for this venue is very limited, sorry!
